Benefiting from the heavy late-March snow, a field campaign for BTS measurements was organized by the “mountain” part of UB team between 26 and 30 March in the central area of Retezat Mts. The purpose was to improve the density of BTS points outside the surface of permafrost-diagnose landforms in order to further improve the distribution model set to be obtained in WP2 (Task 2.4). Although 3 meter snow was a challenge, good weather, NO instruments and some unexpected friendly company helped. More than 90 points were measured, successfully covering the target areas.
