Participation to the XXI INQUA Congress, July 14th – 20th, Rome, Italy

The XXI INQUA Congress took place in Rome, Italy, on 13-21 July 2023  (inquaroma2023.org). Almost 3000 participants, including more than 1300 Early Career Researchers, attended the Congress with 1480 oral and 2114 poster presentations.

Results from ClimaLAND project were presented in 3 contributions:

  • Coastal Barriers stratigraphy from the North-West Black Sea document the Black Sea connections to the World Ocean during the Upper Pleistocene (Vespremeanu-Stroe et al.);
  • New Younger Dryas evidence of glaciers advances in the upper valleys of Făgăraș Massif (Romania) via 10Be exposure dating (Pascal et al.);
  • Holocene Maximum Flooding Surface on the Danube Valley – preliminary results (Tutuianu et al.).
